Wardrobe Essentials: 4 Statement Sunglasses worth the splurge
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, all reviews are my own.
I’m on a mission to curate a solid wardrobe that genuinely captures my essence. I’ve started slowly investing in some quality pieces that will last beyond the current season. Sunglasses are the accessory that can tie a fit together. While there are many brands out there, I want to showcase a new brand that has a story that truly inspires. DEZI is a sunglass line founded by Desi Perkins. She is a major name in the beauty industry and has recently started her own business(s).
I remember watching her youtube video right before she first launched her line, and she shared the ideation behind each sunglass in her collection. Her story was awe-inspiring and made me want to support her. Unfortunately, when launch day came, I snoozed and lost. Literally, 30 mins after remembering the site went live, I was too late. The sunnies that I had my eye on were already sold out. I had to wait for another launch to cop the ones I wanted, and when that time came, baby, I was ready. The sunglasses are made with quality materials, and the packaging is giving high-end. Below are the sunglasses that jump-started my collection, and I haven’t felt the need to purchase any more.
On Read
“On Read” are my go-to sunglasses. The cat-eye shape compliments any look that you’re going for. I could be running errands in biker shorts and an oversized Tee, and these will pull it all together. The shades I have are Black, Classic Tortoise, and Limestone.
Backtrack
If I want to feel expensive, I’m reaching for these. Desi really did her thing with these tones, especially the amber color shade. Definitely perfect for a monochromatic nude look.
Charge It
These are the shades you wear on your way to handle business. The unique shape is semi-round and semi-angular, which will definitely make a statement.
Fall Back
Last but certainly not least, Desi referred to these as the perfect brunch sunnies. Everyone loves a classic oversized sunglass, but the blackout tint on the black shades really made this one stand out. It’s giving “get out of my face” vibes, hence the name.
These are only a few of the different frames from her collection that I copped; to see more, check out her site Dezi.co If you are looking to step your sunglass game up or are on the market for some quality shades, I hope this post made your search easier.
