A Dreamy Espresso Martini For The Holidays
Over the past two years, my journey as a coffee lover has led me to explore a variety of Espresso Martinis. I've discovered that not all drinks are created equal; some are crafted with cold brew coffee, while others are made with love – like freshly pulled espresso. My personal favorite includes a blend of cream liqueur, vanilla-flavored vodka, and a finishing touch of sweet foam. I'm excited to share with you a simple recipe for creating a Sweet and Creamy Espresso Martini at home.
Serving: 1
Ingredients
1 shot of freshly brewed espresso (cooled)
1.5 oz vanilla-flavored vodka
1 oz coffee liqueur ( e.g., Kahlua, St. George)
1 oz Cream Liqueur ( e.g., Baileys Irish Cream, Five Farms Irish Cream)
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Ice cubes
For the cream foam:
1 oz heavy cream
2 tsp of powdered sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Fresh coffee beans or a sprinkle of nutmeg for garnish
Instructions:
Brew a shot of espresso and let It cool.
In a shaker, combine the cooled espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, cream liqueur, and simple syrup. If you don't have vanilla vodka, I added 1 pump of French vanilla coffee syrup for each oz of vodka.
Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
Strain the cocktail into a martini glass
For the cream foam:
In separate container, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Use a frother to whip the ingredients together until it doubles in size.
Gently spoon the foam on top of the martini in the glass
Optional: Garnish with fresh coffee beans for a decorative touch.
