“How long are you here for,” the rideshare driver asked. “A day,” I said. A glare of judgment is reflected in the rearview mirror. This was my second time visiting Paris, and I wasn’t here for an extended vacation this time. I came strictly to shoot content and that’s exactly what I did along with enjoying the outdoor cafes.

Where I stayed

I stayed at the Moxy Paris Bastille, which is an extension of the select Marriot Hotels Brand. I have quickly become a fan of the Moxy hotels which are located across the US, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. They are known for being stylish and affordable, similar to a boutique hotel but you can earn points/rewards with Marriot Bonvoy.

Where I Ate

After shooting content, my photographer friend and I headed to Cafe de Flore to get brunch. This is a popular spot in Paris. If you find yourself visiting on a sunny day, be sure to opt to sit outside and take in the scenery. I ordered the Expresso coffee spécial flore, flavored with Baileys and the Omelette with Aromatic herbs and a side of bacon. I 10/10 recommend ordering that on the menu.

Later we grabbed dinner at East Mamma. It’s an Italian restaurant that has different branches throughout Paris with their own signature menus. The waiter said the ingredients they use are directly imported from Italy. The food was so fresh and filling. I recommend making reservations.

Locations for Content

Every corner in Paris is the perfect backdrop for a shoot. The first spot we took pictures is located by Rue de l’Université. There were a lot of people taking pictures when we got there, but if you wait out the crowd for a bit, you can get a picture without so many photobombers. As for the rest of the pictures, we literally walked around the city and found spots that were great photo ops. If you stay near the vicinity of Cafe de Flore, I noticed there were a lot of clothing stores and luxe buildings that were perfect to shoot in front of. Opportunities are endless in Paris. Whether you’re staying for a day or staying for a week, it’s hard not to fall in love with the city of love.
